My New Gig at GetSetup

Starting Monday, I will officially begin a new role as Customer Success Manager at GetSetup, a new company which provides opportunities for older adults to continue to learn through online classes taught by other older adults. As a frequent presenter and participant in online programs, I know how rewarding it is to have opportunities to learn and to share knowledge with others. In my position, which will initially be part-time, I will be working with new clients to make sure they have an excellent experience.

While there are many classes focused on using technology, there are also sessions particularly relevant to older adults, such as understanding Medicare supplements, how to meet people when you’re older, and tips on staying positive (especially important during these times!).

Do you have knowledge you’d like to share – and earn some extra money at the same time? Apply to be a guide or a creator of a new class. Just want to learn? Take a look at our classes.

Thank you to GetSetup’s co-founders Neal D’Souza and Lawrence Kosick who have given me this wonderful opportunity. Thanks also to Carmella Chessen, who I have worked with for over 6 years in my role as Virtual Senior Center facilitator, for suggesting I find out more about GetSetup.

Addendum 9-23-20
As of last week, I am now working full time for GetSetup. I am very grateful to work for a company that helps older adults to learn and to teach others.
