Join Me at GetSetup as a Guide

GetSetup logo

GetSetup, the company where I now work as a Customer Success Manager, is planning to greatly expand its class roster which require many more teachers, which we call ‘Guides.’ We provide online education for older adults; all classes are taught by older adults. Many of our instructors are current or past teachers, but that is not a requirement. As a Guide, in addition to earning some extra money, you will be making a difference in the lives of others by providing opportunities for lifelong learning.

Applying is easy; learn about the process here. We will provide a list of possible topics to teach. All classes are one hour and are scheduled at your convenience. Best of all, you can work from home, both during and after the pandemic since all of our classes are provided online using Zoom. (We have many free Zoom classes available if you need a refresher!)

Sign up for a class you can see what it’s like. (Many of our classes are free; others are very low cost.) We believe that continuing to learn is essential throughout life, not only when you attend school. If you are interested in becoming a Guide, the first step will be to attend an information session, which we offer frequently.

Does it sound appealing? Find out more about becoming a guide. I would love to welcome you as a colleague.

  1. Good Morning
I am on an Age Friendly steering committee for our county in Montana and we publish a quarterly newsletter. Our theme for the fall newsletter is adult education. I suggested that we do an article on the myriad of courses and interest groups that are available on Get Set Up. I have been enjoying Get Set Up since the spring of 2020 and think it is just wonderful. Of course, because I brought up the suggestion, I was asked to write the article!
Please provide me with your company description of Get Set Up. I want to be sure that I have all the information correct and not just my personal observations. Besides information on the course offerings, I would like for there to be information on the guides, background information on how Get Set Up got started and information on how it is that the classes are provided at no charge.
    Thanking you in advance
    Barbara Marquardt
